Three different jobs, often in the same week
A first home in Raumati, a refinance in Waikanae, and a rental on the coast are not the same application. The first one is about the deposit and KiwiSaver timing. The second is about the date a fixed rate ends and whether staying with the current bank is actually cheaper. The third is about shaded rent and the equity in the home you live in.

What the first meeting covers
Income, the debts that sit beside it, and what the deposit is made of. If KiwiSaver is part of that deposit, we check the three-year rule and the $1,000 that has to stay in the account before anyone talks about a house. The First Home Grant closed on 22 May 2024. It is not part of the plan.
Bring photo ID and recent payslips, or two years of financial statements if you are self-employed. You do not need a property picked out. Pre-approval usually lasts about 60 to 90 days, and it is not a promise if your income changes.

The office is Level 1, Takiri House, Coastlands Shopping Centre, 150 Rimu Road, Paraparaumu. That is the right room if you live in Paraparaumu or a short drive away. For Waikanae, Ōtaki, Te Horo, Raumati South, and Paekākāriki we come to you, or we meet on video.

- Do I have to come to Coastlands?
- No. Coastlands is the office. Advisers meet at home from Paekākāriki through to Ōtaki, and on video when that is easier.
